Daphné Art
It’s that time again. Mama can’t handle all the paper everywhere. So, I put it ALL in a box. EVERYTHING. Art on the fridge, on the walls, in piles in the bedrooms…ALL of it goes in the box. I take pictures, and save some precious pieces and toss the rest. It sounds cruel, doesn’t it? Our kids’ beautiful masterpieces in the trash? As long as I take pictures, they actually don’t mind too much. I have folders of art that is “to keep.”
Enjoy the first post of Daphné’s art. There were over 120 pictures, so I split it into two posts.
This was during a time when the kids discovered the Angry Birds films.
She loves making these.
“Put your hope in the Lord.” Psalm 130:7
I like all the colors in this.
Trolls World Tour. If you like the first Trolls, this one is fun too.
One of her favorite coloring jobs. This was actually from a while ago. Who knows how art disappears then reappears in our house.

So simple. So beautiful.
This was during the World Cup 2022. As I type, we don’t yet know who won the final : France or Argentina.
A pop up flower from last school year. I tell you, I have no idea where all this stuff goes. It hides until I come through like a crazy lady and put everything in a big box for pictures.
Bubble gum.
Rocket house (probably commissioned by Django) and miscellaneous objects.
Noah’s Ark from maybe 2021 - it’s been hanging on the wall for a while.

I love this crazy-haired girl.
Daphné expressing the omnipresence of God.
One of her favorites. I love it too. So much time went into this gorgeous suitcase. You would always be able to find it after a flight, that’s for sure.
“All things are possible for the one who believes!” Mark 9:23
The inside of the above card.
Lighthouse with a custom frame.
Love God. So cool.
I’ve been really enjoying the evolution of her faces. It’s a joy to watch a little artist grow in her craft. And also, you may have noticed, she is in a “poop” phase again. Haha!!!
“I am a wonderful creation.” Psalm 139:14a
“Fear not, I am with you.” Isaiah 41:10a
“I know the plans I have for you.” Jeremiah 29:11a
“I, the Lord your God, I will be with you everywhere you go.” Joshua 1:9
This is my favorite drawing / coloring of all time. I don’t know why, but I love the black outlines, the vibrant colors, the focus on the cherries, the beautifully designed dress, the strong arm of the woman holding the basket, the rainbow handle, the tree… everything. It was hanging by my bedside for almost a year, and now it’s in the keep folder. She said she never finished the grass, but I still love it!
This was a painting Daphné started, and mama finished.
Ocean life.
Fun with circles. She was trying to make her own Dobble game.

Daphné asked me what she should draw, and I answered, “Food on vacation.” This is her interpretation, and I love it! Look at how the faces change from one scene to the next.
Alien.
Double alien!
Shoe store.
Fish with googly eyes from Grandma Kathy and a fun cover with rainbow colors.

Playground. That rainbow bumpy slide looks like it would be fun.
Sticker fun.
Lake in a forest.
She calls this one, “Super big squishy buns.” Haha!
This was a day she stayed home with a fever but still wanted to practice her spelling words. I made up sentences, and she wrote them out. We are so proud of her hard work at school this year.
It’s a heart, and there are stars around it.
I hope you enjoyed some of the work from our 7 year-old artist. She is so inspiring to me. “She nailed it.” (Daphné said that with some giggles from mama.)
