Inklings of Christmas
December 2022. Here are some fun moments from the beginning of December.
As a member of the parent association at the kids’ school, I got to help decorate the main office and cafeterias for Christmas. It’s a super fun group of people.
My mom warned me…after 40, the eyesight starts to dwindle. Ha. I finally went and got glasses. I have these for close, another pair for distance and a third pair that are distance sunglasses. Phew. The first time I drove with my distance pair was incredible! I had no idea how bad it had gotten. I can read signs in the distance now! Yahoo!
And since I got a new prescription, the kids thought it would be fun to play with my old, obsolete pair of reading glasses. He’s so handsome.
Daphné gave it a go too. Her funny faces crack me up.
Family Christmas pjs picture in the bathroom.
Wide angle of one of the youth rooms upstairs at church. Here we started off 24 hours of prayer at church with worship and prayer. It’s always such a great time as a church body.
Django got invited to his first birthday party for a friend. It was at the theatre, and I got to stay. We had fun.
While I was at the birthday party with Django, Daphné enjoyed hanging out with Papa over a ginormous Nutella croissant.
He’s just cool.
Ladies Christmas tea at church. I got to help with singing Christmas songs with another gal from church, and I also shared part of my testimony. From the feedback we received, it was a blessing for all the ladies.
Frances sings lead on the English carols. One gal invited a Catholic friend, and this friend said something along the lines of, “I’m surprised how close you are all to the scriptures.” It really impacted her that we place so much importance on God’s Word. My whole testimony was about Hope in His Word. Praise the Lord!
Back at the kids’ school with a fun Christmas snack provided by the parent association. Here I am with another mom. Her son is in Daphné’s class.
Some days require games to get dressed. The game on this particular morning was dress up mama’s bear in the clothes you get to wear today. It was pretty funny.
Oh deer.
I got to distribute little goody bags with Santa in all of the kindergarten and pre-school classes. Django was happy to see mama. Photo bomber made me giggle after.
Preparing crèpes with more of the parent crew.
Daphné’s class sang 4 Christmas songs at the Marché de Noël.
I got to lead the 0-5 year-old class at church. Such a fun bunch of little buddies.
Writing these blogs helps me slow down and realize 1) how much stuff we are blessed to do and 2) how incredibly faithful God is through it all to lead us and give us strength. He’s so good.
