Still Sunny September 2022
If you were to ask me, what I did in September, you would be looking at a blank face and eyes looking up trying to remember. It was all a whirlwind.
The craziness started 3 days before the first day of school when we got the call that a spot opened up for Django at Daphné’s school. Hallelujah!!! Lots of paperwork and canceling his other school and emotions of thankfulness, etc. Then, my dad came 2 days after the first day of school. SO FUN!
And everything else was a blur with new activities starting, the kids a little sad getting used to new teachers and classes, visitors arriving, and just trying to get into a rhythm. Here we go!
Weeeeeeee!!! While Daphné dances on Saturday mornings, Django and I often go to the park together.
We went to a little nature area to see out if we wanted Daphné to do scouts this year. We decided not this year, but we had a fun time. Django made a “fire.”
Daphné met a new friend named Giulia.
Stack o’ trains. Ta-Da!
Daphné is enjoying synchronized swimming and normal swimming classes every week.
We had meetings with the teachers to get to know them. Here is Daphné’s classroom. Her teacher is in front with a white top.
In Django’s class. Can you find him?
Here is the special playground for Django’s class. Daphné is too big for this area now. It’s sweet, though. She tells me that when they have recess together, she will give him a big hug through the fence. I love that!!!
One of Daphné’s besties, Alice, swims at the same time on Wednesdays in the lane “next door.”
After Daphné swims and Django does music class, we sometimes drop by the local library. It really calms the kids. And they each have their own library card, so they love checking out books to bring home.
I got to meet up with my mama friends, Maki and Ave, for brunch in Old Nice. They are such lovely people. We have so much fun laughing about being mamas and the craziness that ensues daily.
Church baptism. Tonio and Pierre baptized Angélique. God cleared the skies for her day. Rain was forecast, but the Lord answered our prayers for a sunny sky.
Nancy’s older brother John came to visit from Washington state! His wife Barb said that wherever John goes, he’s a grandchild magnet. Haha.
And here is John’s wife Barb playing cards with Django, Nancy and Daphné. Thanks for coming to visit us guys!!!
Here’s super Papa taking care of things, since I left on a trip to Colorado. More on that to come soon. But first, I might just have to share our kitchen transformation.
Hope you enjoyed,
Love Linz
