See you next summer
Here are some fun little snippets from the end of summer just before school started up again. Summer 2022, you’ve been a delight.
Nancy and Pierre took the kids to the big library by bus.
Our Daphodil.
You can check out games to play with your library card. Apparently Django really enjoyed this maze.
Space puzzle with Papi.
Outing with mama to a park. As you can imagine, these two always have a captive and enchanted audience in any bus or tram.
Swings!
She gave me a pedicure, and she’s actually quite steady-handed.
The most fun part of nail polish is organizing them. That’s Django’s contribution. Daphné shows off her mani-pedi by mom.
The kids like helping on their own terms, so I jumped on the opportunity. Ha.
Captain Underpants swooped in for some mopping.
Another date to the library, this time with mama. Django checked out his favorite maze again.
I pray they continue to love books, something I only recently acquired as an adult.
Carrousel… because it’s good to be tourists in our own town. Keeps things fresh!
Wonder eyes.
Signed this girl up for swim classes, so she had to try on her cap. Then, she had to try on mama’s dress. Her style is, well, her style, what can I say? =)
My Dad turned 70 and had a birthday bash larger than our entire wedding celebration, haha!!! Here he is with my niece Rowyn and my good friend Crystal. She’s basically our big sister.
My niece Rocky, my sister Chelsey and friend Crystal. I post these here, because I so wish I could have been there!!!
My sister Chelsey and her precious family. Rocky, Chelsey, Brett, Rowdy and Rowyn. As you can see, the theme was aloha.
When mama runs out of entertainment ideas, the pool comes out on the balcony.
So, we don’t really have a “the-day-before-school” tradition, but I can totally work churros into that tradition starting here.
And maybe the fountains could be a part of that as well. We shall see. Check back in a year. Haha!
She used to dislike any water on her face. That phase is gone.
This pose cracks me up, so hilarious and graceful at the same time.
Jump around!
Worth the wait. There are only 4 swings in the center of town, so the wait can be long and also highly exposing of common courtesy and how some parents believe their kids are worth cutting in line for (face palm). And yes, I know, I ended that sentence with a preposition (another face palm). HAHA!!!
I have many a blog post to update… see you soon, I hope.
Love Linz
