A month of playing in the water, riding horses, eating lots of popsicles, exploration in the trees and a hospital visit. Thankfully, we were much less restricted, so we were able to have some great adventures.
The Nice fountains in town are so entertaining I even play.
Sandy beach in Cannes. Daphne is a fish. Django is clinging to Tonio for dear life. His love for water will grow slowly. It was the same for Daphné.

Our friend Edgar and his son Hector. A fun fact about Edgar is that he was the only person outside of the Petrignani family that came from France to California for our wedding 10 years ago. We were so honored to have him there.

It’s moments like these when I fall in love all over again with Tonio. He is such an incredible Papa to our sweet children (and not to mention, a wonderful husband!).

We like having friends that live in a residence with a pool. I think Django found his happy place in a pool. The sea will be next, but he came alive in this water.
New fins from a friend from church who works for a scuba diving company. Daphné is not excited at all. Thank you Eileen for the pool and the fins and for your love for our family!

This photo really symbolizes our family in the summer. With Covid, the beaches were empty, and we were stoked!
Back at that fun place we visited back in June, Les Bois des Lutins.
Game face. Django and I are about to conquer this slide on a huge inner-tube. He and I have the same thirst for fast and fun. We did it several times. Going down is great. Dragging the huge inner-tube back up the hill is not so fun. Haha.
And while Django and I played, Daphné and Tonio climbed in the trees. We are so proud of our high ropes course girl.

The morning after surgery. The operation went great, and Django doesn’t snore anymore or have sleep apnea. Praise you Jesus for 2 children who now sleep through the entire night every night!!! Hallelujah!

“Mama, it’s Jesus on the cross.” This girl has such an incredible grasp on Jesus’ dying for our sins and God’s great rescue plan for His children. If you want a super digestible way to understand this, I highly recommend this book. It helped me understand the Bible so clearly. It’s called The Jesus Storybook Bible. Daphné, Django and I have read it in its entirety well over 10 times. We love it!
Heading home from the beach seemed like a perfect place to wrap up this sea and sun-filled month.
Thanks for making it to the end of another catch up month. I’m having a good time doing this, but I admit that narrowing the number of photos down from hundreds to 20-ish is no small task. It takes a ton of time, but I get to relive the beautiful moments that Jesus has given us as a family and with friends. I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else. Thanks for being here.
