Favorites Watches of 2020
I sure do hope you like coming to the blog. I enjoy having you here, but it would definitely be more fun in person. So without further ado…
Here are 6 favorite things I watched in 2020 :
1) Sunrises
We live on the 4th floor (5th by American standards) with an incredible view of much of the Mediterranean coast line of Nice. It’s spectacular. All hours of the day, but my favorite time is the fresh morning horizon and sunrise. It’s incredible to see the glory of God displayed in the sky each morning. I will never tire of His Creation in all its magnificence.
2) Little Women, the 2019 film
I really enjoyed the 1994 rendition with Winona Ryder and Christian Bale, as well. They both have their beautiful attributes. It’s just a good story. I recommend both. You can choose your favorite. For 2020, I think I watched (or at least started watching) the 2019 film from the poster above, well over 10 times. What can I say? I love movies such as “Pride and Prejudice”, “Emma” and the like.
3) Downton Abbey, TV series
I was definitely late to the Downton Abbey game. I’ve heard people talk about it for years. And just recently my mom told me that she and my dad had been enjoying it, then I discovered Tonio’s mom and dad had watched it. I jumped on the Downton Abbey train, and I now see why people like it. So many stories going at once and this early 1900s time period, once again, is just fun to me. I’m in the middle of season 3, taking my sweet time.
4) The Mandalorian, TV series
Tonio and I started watching this together just a few weeks ago (so the end of 2020). We are still in season 1. It’s a treat to curl up next to each other on the couch and geek out on Disney milking Star Wars for all it’s worth. I LOVE it! It’s a super sweet story line. If you love Star Wars like me, you’ll enjoy this series.
5) Water slide youtube videos with Daphné
Daphné has never been on a water slide in real life, but she has traveled to waterparks around the world with me. Thank you youtube. It’s so much fun. Sometimes we squeeze onto each other like we’re actually on the ride… and we might squeal here and there. It’s a really fun way to connect with her. The engineers of these slides are geniuses!
6) James Corden on youtube
James Corden is just a funny person. He has a show called “The Late Late Show,” does musicals on crosswalks and interviews famous singers while “carpooling”… I just really enjoy his stuff. Super fun and clever. All things Disney musicals, Anna Kendrick, Pitch Perfect, Anne Hathaway, The Greatest Showman… It all brings me so much joy.
There you go. You can see how Lindsey spends her time when she needs a break from reality. Well, the sunsets help me appreciate reality, but the others… haha! We all needed lots of breaks from reality in 2020, didn’t we?!!! More than any other year probably. I hope you enjoyed. Let me know what you enjoyed watching in 2020 in the comments below!!!
