March 2024 reflection

Hello there, I can’t remember the last time I wrote a reflection blog post. I’m inspired by Emily P. Freeman’s monthly emails, but I don’t always have the time to sit down and write a post.

Here are the questions I will be answering:

1. Where is a spot in your home that brought you joy in March?

2. What's one thing you re-discovered in March?

3. What is one question you're carrying into April?

1) A spot in our home that brought me joy in March.

Sitting on our IKEA stools in the kitchen between Daphné and Django. Be it breakfast or dinner, I just love to be with these kids. Our kitchen is long and narrow. They sit on either side of the long table that Tonio made, and me and Tonio are in the middle. It’s the best. Django is usually building, un-building and rebuilding something with LEGO. Daphné is either reading Ariol, Emile et Margaux or Dog Man. (above - A photo of our cozy kitchen. You can see Daphné’s piles of books.)

2) One thing I re-discovered in March.

Sitting on our balcony. It’s been a chilly winter, so I didn’t make it out on the balcony as much as I would have liked. That has changed. Tonio bought new cushions for it, and I’m like a kitty cat soaking up the warmth. Tonio will join me. The kids join me. I love that bench. The best purchase we made for the balcony. (above - Django models his latest robot body on the bench.)

3. One question I’m carrying into April.

When will my singing show be? Haha. Did you know I take a weekly singing class? We have a show in May, but the director of the theatre can’t seem to give my teacher an answer. I’m a ball of nerves. I’m excited for it, but I think mostly excited for it to be over…haha!!! Seriously. I will be singing a solo, 2 or 3 duets and the finale with the rest of the class. I’m praying the date is later than earlier, which will give me a little more time to memorize some lyrics….eeeeeeeekkkk!!!! (above - the kids at church sang a special song for Easter.)

Fun to reflect. It always makes me so thankful for God’s faithfulness, for His love and for my family.

Love Lindsey
